Art Lecture “Plants – Known and Unknown”
Lecturer: Assoc. Prof. Plamen Glogov, PhD, Forest Research Institute – BAS

On 2 June 2025, as part of the Second Children’s Science Festival “Cosmos of Ideas”, the art lecture “Plants – Known and Unknown” led by Assoc. Prof. Plamen Glogov took place. The event introduced participants to the diversity of the plant world through an accessible yet scientifically grounded approach, combining botanical knowledge with artistic practices and exploratory learning.

The participants observed characteristic plant species from both urban and natural environments, examined morphological features of coniferous trees, and created miniature herbarium samples. The programme also included role-based and logical tasks designed to foster scientific thinking, ecological awareness, and creative imagination.

The lecture offered a comprehensive scientific and educational experience that encouraged curiosity and sensitivity toward plants and the importance of green environments.
