On January 21, 2026 at a special ceremony within the General Assembly of the scientists of IG-BAS, plaques with the badge of honor of the Forest Institute-BAS were presented. For their many years of work and invaluable contribution to the development of forestry science in Bulgaria, Prof. Dr. Maria Sokolovska and Prof. Dr. Ivan Marinov were awarded! Letters of thanks were read by Prof. Miglena Zhiyanski – PhD student of Prof. Sokolovska and Assoc. Prof. Eli Pavlova-Trajkova – PhD student of Prof. Marinov. The scientific community of the Institute expresses its deep appreciation for the dedication, mentorship, experience and high scientific achievements shared over the years!
